INCIDENT: Croxton AHB 12/09/06

A passenger train travelling from Ely to Norwich derailed after striking an object on the AHB crossing at Croxton.

No injuries were reported. It seems that the object could be a rubber paving block that forms part of the crossing.

The crossing was the site of a collision in 2001 when a car struck the side of a train .

The RAIB have launched an inquiry.
